Everyone can give advice to a friend. My advice for people who are graduating is to follow their dream. I thought much how I could express my advice. I remembered one Bulgarian parable. I am going to tell you a story that I think would be great advice for young people.
One man met his old friend Ivan who had tried to succeed in life but he could not. The man thought that he could give money to him. Later, on the same day, he understood that his friend became rich. Now Ivan is living quietly without thinking how he can find money for the next day.
The man went to his friend’s house. He saw that the house looked better than before. His family was happy but they didn’t celebrate their happiness. They were modest. Ivan’s family prepared special dishes for their guest. He was surprised how much food was on the table. He asked Ivan how he got so rich. Ivan told him that the Other in him lived before.
“Who is the Other?” - asked the man.
Ivan answered that the Other is who they have taught me to be, but what I am not. The Other believes that man must spend his life thought how to save money and not starve when he is old. He also lives not to disappoint others around him. Constantly I thought, constantly I made plans and discover that he is alive .I found it only when he had a few days on earth. However, it was too late.
“Who are you?” - asked Ivan’s friend. He was so confused.
-I have done something very important. Now, I am the one who could be anyone of us, as long as you listen to your heart. A man who admires the mystery of life and believes in miracles finds joy and inspiration in what he does. However, an Other was afraid he could disappoint people around him so he didn’t allowed me to act.
“Have you ever afraid of sufferance?”
- I know there is damage. Moreover, nobody can avoid it. It is better to lose a few battles fighting for your dreams than to be defeated not knowing what to fight for. Is it that simple?
When I realized this, I woke up with a decision to be such as I always wanted. The Other remained there in my room, but I no longer let him take me, although on several occasions he tried to scare me with how risky it is not to think about a future and the people around me. Since this time, I have not been trapped by dogma. When I threw out my fears and previous life miracles started to happen with me. Now everything is so wonderful.
In conclusion, I think the most esteemed lesson in our lives is listening to your heart, yourself, and never give up on your dreams. We should always follow our dreams. Have faith in yourself and in fate and you will see that if you follow your wishes, fate will always show you the right way.
This time I want to challenge you to think on a question related with our life and the way how we sometimes make decisions. I tried to write something like a fable with a lesson. I hope you will like it. Enjoy reading.
Think before taking advice from a stranger
Once upon a time in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, there was live a rich family. They lived in a beautiful and luxurious building.
They had a daughter, Candy and a son, Mauri. The children had a black cat foe a pet. They loved their cat. Candy and Mauri played all day with the cat.
Their parents were very popular PR agents. Mr. and Mrs. Pick always had success with their clients. Unfortunately, their last projects were unsuccessful. They were unhappy.
One day their special customers told Mr. and Mrs. Pick that the black cat at their home brought bad luck. The PR agents decided to throw him out and they did it. The children were very sad and cried a lot but they could not do anything.
One week later, the town had art invasion of mousses. The apartment’s owners have taken a decision to rid the luxury building of mice. Under the guidance of them, the exterminators fumigated the whole building. Everybody was blissful, because they already had safety measures and they were not scared of mousses.
Mr. and Mrs. Pick were very tired. They went to bed early. The same night five mice went into their apartment. Three of them were in the kitchen the other two went to Mr. and Mrs. Pick‘s bedroom. They climbed to on the curtains. The window was close to Mr. Pick’s bedside. While he was sleeping, they jumped onto his face. He woke up very stressful. He felt something was scratching his face. Mr. Pick jumped out of the bed quickly and started to shouted. He saw mousses in the room. He went out in the corridor and saw more of them. He held his head and only yelled. His wife called the door attendant. He came and put the mousses in a mousetrap. The doorman helped them.
Mr. and Mrs. Pick regretted that they threw out the black cat. If the cat was there, he would help them and they never would have a problem with mousses. Then they returned the cat to their children.
The moral of this story is never believe in people who don’t know them well. When they give you advice, think about it before taking action. Think very hard if this tip is good for you. If this family didn’t throw the cat, they would not have had mousses in their apartment. If Mr. and Mrs. Pick thought about it, they would have seen that the cat didn’t disturb them and he was not the reason for their failure.
In the twenty-first century, we may think that all develop societies in the world have a similar life. Nowadays, anywhere in the world live people who are different from our modern society. Last year I had a wonderful experience when I met an Amish society. The Amish are a Christian religious group. Originally, they are from Germany, Europe. They came to America because they were persecuted in their countries. In USA, they found religious freedom. Many of them settled in Pennsylvania. The Amish people are one of the most interesting and rare communities that exist today. Their group is unique because they refuse to use modern technologies. Amish do not use cars, electricity, and they do not have a phone in their home. Thoese people want to live how their ancestors lived before them. In contrast, other non- Amish people cannot imagine their lives without fashion and helpful items like cell phones, computers, internet, electricity, cars. There are many differences between both societies such language, their clothing, family style and they have different values.

The first one different between Amish and American people is the language that they speak. The official Amish language is German. In conversations with each other and in their home they speak Pennsylvania Dutch. This is a mixed language from Dutch (German language) and English. Their church cervices and sermons are given in German. When children go to school, they speak and study in English.Therefore; people from the Amish group know to speak two languages.

In opposite of Amish country, in the U.S.A, the official language is English. Americans start to speak English when they are children. They speak the same language everywhere. It is not necessary for them to learn second language. If they want, they can study a foreign language like Spanish, French, Arabic and others.
The second different is what kind of clothes they wear. The Amish are called “Plain People” because their clothes and lifestyles are very simple. The women and girls wear old-fashioned dresses. They are made from solid-colored fabrics with a long skirt and sleeves. These dresses are covered with a cape and apron and are fastened with straight pins or snaps. Amish women do not wear jewelry. Men and boys wear dark-colored suits, straight-cut coats without lapels, trousers with suspenders, solid-colored shirts, black socks and shoes, and black or straw broad-brimmed hats. Their coats do not have buttons because military uniforms have large silver or gold buttons. Consequently, they hate war and they do not serve in the army. The Amish want to have a peaceful life.

Outside of the Amish world people using clothes to protect their bodies from cold or hot weather. Non- Amish society use clothes for fashion. They do not think about the meaning of the dress. Sometimes Americans and other nations put on clothes to attract the opposite gender or people around them. The jewelry is part of their dress style. If modern costumes, which we use do not have buttons we can be able to wear them. By the way how one person is dressed, we can recognize that he is a rich person or maybe he is a doctor, lawyer or a pilot. I want to add that Amish people always look very clean and trim. However, the people outside of this group can use washing machines, dryers and many other technologies to clean their clothes and sometimes they do not look so clean.

The third divergence is family structure. Amish families are big. They have many children. Amish think that the more children they have, the more blessed they are from God. They love their children, something more Amish family members support each other inside the family and they are very united. They always eat together, spend evening time together- singing songs, read fables, teach their children. Also, plain people go together to the church and celebrate together every holiday. According their traditions, young Amish generation takes care of their grandparents with whom they live in the same house. The father is the spiritual head of the whole family. That is why, he is responsible for leading them in all aspects. The wife can help with the family business .Her job is in the home- cooking, laundering, cleaning, child caring, keeping a garden.

In contrast, in our modern society, children are treasured. To have children is expensive pleasure. For that reason, most parents limit the number of children. Usually, they have one or two kids. In modern society, children contribute little or none to the family income. Now a day families are small. Sometimes when children get to 18 years old, they start life separately from their parents and get a job. They are not so united but they celebrate the most important holidays together. The grandparents live in a different house.

For the Amish people the most important values are their family, their fields, plants and their house. Money is not their priority. The Amish think it is wrong to have more land or more money than they need to live. Simple and peaceful life, religious are the most important things for them.

Values for non- amish people are their job, to have a successful life. Success is measured by the accumulation of power, status, wealth and property. Somebody wants to be famous and to have more and more money because they want to reach a high lifestyle. The individual has rights above that of the general society and government. The American society is not so united like the Amish community.

In conclusion, I want to say that in the world there are many strange communities, but all the people in this big world are the same. Every human being has good heart and feelings. Everybody has problems and wants to life in a peaceful world. We just belong to the different group, we have different nationalities, religions and languages but we should not forget that we are the people with big and kind heart.
Nowadays, technology are everywhere around us. We cannot imagine our lives without cell- phones, laptops, and internet. The difference between 20 and 21 century is that now, our lives are more dynamic, and we depend on technology. However, technology has advantages and disadvantages.
Technology supports our lives, jobs and education. The advantages are simplicity and convenience. The cell phones and laptops are convenient, because every time you want to connect with somebody, you can do it.For instance, just take your phone, dial the number, and you can find your friend who lives in the different country. If you are in an unknown city and you get lost, it is not necessary to ask for directions. You can use your satellite mobile phone map and you can find your way. Technology can support your job. For example, if you are not in your office but you have to write a project, and then you have to send to your partners, easy you can do it sitting at home and just using your computer, cell phone, or I Pad. When you have a computer, or a mobile phone it is very easy to go on the internet. Using the internet connection is simply way to find everything. For example,through the internet, you have an ability to search, and find different kind of information that you need.Also, you can read latest news, pay your bills, and to have a wonderful chance to be correlate with the rest of the world. This convince good called internet, can lead you in every part of the planet where you want to be.More over, you want to find pictures and information about a remote area, using the internet you immediately can find it and virtually to be there, and to feel that place.Unfortunately, our developing society does not often use library to make research for school, or work projects. Everybody use cell phones and laptops, which has internet connection to find resources for their projects. Another technology advantage is that through technology deaf and dumb people have connected with everybody. They have special mobile phones, I Pad, and computers, which allow them to be part of the modern society. They can have friendships with people from all over the world, and they don’t feel isolate from the developing world.
The disadvantage of technology is that you can create your own world includes your virtual friends from “Facebook”, “Twitter” or “Skype”. That can make a distance between your real friends, family, and relatives. The internet and cell phones obsession can lead you in a wrong way, because there is a possibility for think only for your electronic gadgets and to forget that around you people subsist,you can forget about your job, and your can dismiss about your family, and even about that, you have responsibility for it. In contrast, using the new technology we have stopped to talk a lot. When we want to say something to somebody, we prefer to write a message from our phone instead talking with this person. Hence,teenagers use phones and computers mainly to make conversation with their friends. I think this fashion to write texts will develop a distance between everybody and the new generation will have a new way for communication with each other. I apprehensive,one day we will not be able to talk and to make conversation. We might forget how to talk with somebody face to face, and I don’t want this passion and excitement when you talk with a real person to disappear.
In summary, I want to say that obviously we cannot live without technology. Technology will continue develop, and we will be more and more dependent on them. Everyday our society going to fast progress and we are part of it. We should support the newest gadgets and to use them very careful, because they sometimes can work against us. Using much technology all the time our brain abilities will reduce. We start ride only to our computers and cell phones to memories important information, for example telephone numbers, birthday’s dates of our friends, a pin code for a credit card.She should keep and continue to have a nice conversation with people face to face, and it is not necessary all the time to depend on electronic gadgets.Our brain is more powerful machine then any technology.
Hello everybody. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Miglena. I am from Bulgaria.
Bulgaria is a small country in Southeast Europe. My country is a neighbor with five other countries. On south its borders with Greece and Turkey, on west with Republic of Macedonia and Serbia, with Romania to the north and Black Sea to the east.In addition, every summer I have a month vacation in different cities on the Black Sea. I love that place very much.
In Bulgaria I live in Sofia- the capital of Bulgaria. Sofia is the biggest city in my country.There are live about two million people, now a days.Also, the town is one of the oldest cities in the country.Therefore, when you visit that place, you will have a chance to see many old, and beautiful churches, historical museums,buildings and others. In Sofia are situated the most important institutions and universities.It is also a place for a lot of theatricals, concerts, exhibitions, sport and cultural events.Moreover, around the city there is a big mountain.So, the people who live in the city receive fresh air every morning. Also, during the all seasons you can visit this mountain, and to enjoy to the wonderful nature and some unique plants and trees. During the winter many people loves to go skiing on the beautiful and challenge racing tracks, which are situated in high place on the mountain.
I graduated university last year. My major is Political sciences. Now I will be boring telling you my future plans. I am sure that everybody knows what are my future plans, because it is too obvious. The most of the people who study in English language program at University of California, Riverside has a plan to continue their education; for example, somebody wants to study Bachelor, Master or Phd degree.If you were wondering what is my future plans, right now you know it. My plans are, first to improve my English skills and second to apply for Master degree program in U.S.A.
In my free time I prefer to do something interesting. I like to go out with my friends, to watch historical movies, or some new movies in the cinema, and to travel. When I travel I get inspiration for my current and future plans, and I have a chance to understand something more for various cities, cultures, and people. I love traveling.
